Install the AED Positioning Bracket and Place the AED

Positioning Bracket Parts

AED Positioning Bracket Slots by AED Model

Positioning bracket arms are inserted into left and right slots to match the width of different AED models. Refer to this chart to identify the correct slot for the right-side positioning bracket arm based on your AED.

Attach the Backplate

  • Remove the adhesive backing from the two-sided tape on the back of the AED positioning bracket backplate.
  • Place the backplate against the back wall of the cabinet, with its left edge flush against the cabinet’s left wall and the bottom edge resting on the cabinet floor.
  • Press firmly to secure the adhesive to the back wall.

Install the Arms and Position the AED

  • Insert one arm into the left slot of the bracket.
  • Insert the second arm into the right slot specified in the table above for your AED model.
  • Place the AED inside the cabinet, centered within the bracket. Ensure there is nothing beneath, behind, or in front of the AED that could block its status indicator.
  • The bracket positions the AED correctly, so the Camera always has a clear view of the status indicator.
Attach the Camera to Inside of the Cabinet Door and Activate the Camera

Attach the AED Monitoring Camera to the Inside of the Cabinet Door

Find the Aiming Template in the AED Sentinel box. Follow the template’s instructions for aiming the AED Monitoring Camera and attaching it to the inside of the AED cabinet door. Place the round 2” diameter sticker on the front of the cabinet window over the Velcro coin.

Activate the AED Monitoring Camera

Open the cabinet door. Press and hold the AED Monitoring Camera’s activation button until you see the LED Status Light turn solid blue (about 3 seconds). Release the button and quickly close the cabinet door. The LED Status Light will then blink green during the activation process which will continue for up to 5 minutes. The LED Status Light will then show solid green for 15 seconds, then turn off, indicating success.

Log into AED Readiness Manager, navigate to your Monitored AED, and confirm the AED’s status indicator image was received and is centered in the picture.

If you see the LED status light turn solid red or blinking red, or encounter other issues, please contact support.
