How to Install the AED Sentinel Camera in the AED Cabinet
A. Place and Check the AED
Inside the cabinet, place the AED between the preinstalled bracket arms.
Confirm the AED’s green LED is blinking. If it is not blinking, this AED is not ready to work. Please contact Thompson Safety for support.
B. Attach the AED Sentinel Camera to the Cabinet Window
Open the cabinet door to see the hook-side Velcro coin preattached to the inside of the cabinet window.
On the back of the camera you will find the loop-side Velcro coin and the camera’s LED status light.
Attach the camera to the inside of the cabinet window by pressing the loop-side Velcro on the camera onto the hook-side Velcro on the cabinet window – press firmly.
C. Activate the AED Sentinel Camera
On the front of the camera you will find the activation button.
With the cabinet door open, place your finger on the activation button. While watching the camera’s LED status light, press and hold the activation button until you see the LED status light turn solid blue (button hold of about 3 seconds). Then RELEASE THE BUTTON and close the cabinet door.
The LED status light will change from blue to a slow-blinking green. After about 8 minutes the LED will go dark and the camera will go into sleep mode. It will wake up every 24 hours and capture and transmit an image of your AED’s blinking status indicator via the cellular network. Software will analyze this image and we will be alerted if this AED indicates anything other than “Ready”. We will reach out to you for further investigation if this occurs.
Just one final step.
Send an email to [email protected] letting us know your AED Sentinel camera has been activated. Please include the Sentinel ID you will find on the box and the button side of the camera.
